The red “stone” looks like a cheap piece of plastic like in a child’s toy ring in a bubble gum machine. Overall, from a distance the pin has the desired effect. It draws attention- just don’t offer someone a closer look
I purchased this piece for my fiancée to wear to my jobs holiday party. Stunning accent piece made the whole outfit pop. However when it came time to take pictures we noticed that the stone had fallen. (So sad) there was no strenuous activity, not that would have caused this…. just a waste
